Required:

• Equipment operating experience; preferably in excavation, grading and underground utilities
• Equipment operating experience; using various size excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, rollers, etc.
• Ability to review/understand construction plans and survey information
• Self-starter/motivated
• Works well with others
• Reliable
• Punctual
• Willingness to go above and beyond

Typical duties include but not limited to:

• Operate various size excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, rollers, etc depending on project location and scope
• Utilize equipment to excavate for various items including roads, buildings, foundations, underground utilities, etc
• Load dump trucks with excavated material using various size excavators, loaders
• Unload and set various structures including manholes, vaults, catch basins, shoring, etc.
• Unload and move materials around job sites
• Trenching to line and grade
• Backfilling trenches, backfilling/grading against and around structures, etc
• Place and grade various rock and soil materials
• Process and compact various rock and soil materials
• Ability to utilize survey stakes to determine excavation limits and depths
• Ability to utilize and/or learn Topcon/GPS/3D models
